Documenting my journey from a 12.5 mtr (40ft) bus conversion as a NomadiCoach
Converting a 12.5 mtr Coach Bus into a mobile home & healing space
... and Redefining Success on my own terms!
My version of success is not what I'd call 'typical',
and neither is yours, it's unique to you!
This part of my journey started here -
Brisbane, QLD in 2020 ...
Getting my Heavy Vehicle (HR) Licence.
You may recall, that was the year the world shut down ... although I was blissfully oblivious at the time. It was November 2019 when I signed up, but there was a 6+ month wait to start 'truck school', so the timing was certainly a synchronicity!
Fast forward and this was an exciting moment in September 2020, I had my truck licence. After having so much fun driving around the streets of Brissy in this Mack Truck, with an 18 speed roadranger gearbox that I eventually mastered, to pass the test first try. Thanks so much to the trainers who put me through my paces and took this photo.
The journey so far has been a long one, in many ways, and also for the conversion. I initially had minimal 'trade skills', worked 2 jobs [in marketing/business development and mental health], and lived in the CBD at the time this was taken.
My daily routine looks very different now!

We are taught life should go in a particular way, and when it doesn't, do you find yourself reacting or responding?
The biggest stress factors in life are typically money or cash-flow, work and career, health and relationships...
And challenges in any of these can put us in survival mode, affecting every other area of life.
Many people don't even realise they've been in survival mode most of their lives. Apart from personally traumatic events, fear inducing propaganda and 'disaster porn' are everywhere in daily life, and it's been designed that way.
So my question for you is .... What does success look and feel like for you?
I don't mean the version society has told you it 'should be', or what you 'should' aspire to.
Have you even given it much thought?

Hi, I'm Renee, and welcome to this phase of the journey.
I'm documenting (or attempting to) my bus conversion project here & sharing on the socials, with no experience in building or trades and I'm doing what I can myself, with a little help from a few skilled tradies.
The process of converting a 12.5 mtr (40 foot) 1999 MAN coach into a mobile office/apartment on wheels is not exactly recommended if you're easily discouraged, and certainly not for everyone.
I mostly work online as a business and marketing Coach + Hypnotherapist, so the name NomadiCoach seems fitting.
I've since learned that setting time-lines is a 'nice idea' when attempting such a big project. And it's never really 'finished', and that's okay with me.
If you know, you know! Yet everyone I speak to asks when I'll start travelling .. The answer is always ASAP.
